Born in Lyon, Pablo Schatzman studied violin with Tibor Varga in Switzerland, with Boris Garlitsky at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon, and with Pinchas Zukerman at the Manhattan School of Music in New York.
He has appeared at the Philharmonie de Paris, Cité de la Musique, Théâtre du Châtelet, Opéra Comique, Musée d'Orsay, Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, Lille Opera, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. As a soloist he has worked under Peter Csaba, Benjamin Levy, and Ludovic Morlot. Festival appearances include La Folle Journée (Nantes and Japan), Festival Messiaen, Brunnen Musikfest, Khumo, Nomus, Feldkirch, and the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam.
An active chamber musician, he has performed alongside Pinchas Zukerman, Anna Chumachenko, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Joseph Silverstein, Pierre Fouchenneret, François Salque, and Victor Julien-Laferrière, and with the Danel Quartet. He co-founded the Leos Trio in 2013 with pianist Jean-Michel Dayez and cellist Guillaume Lafeuille, and joined the Élysée String Quartet in 2022. He is concertmaster of Musica Nigella and a member of Les Dissonances.
His recordings — Ravel's Tzigane, Chausson's Concert, Bartók's Sonata for Solo Violin, and Beethoven's Op. 1 Trios with the Leos Trio — have received the Diapason d'Or, five stars from Classica, selection by Le Monde, and 4f from Télérama. With Jean-Michel Dayez he co-directs the Écouter-Voir chamber music series in Tourcoing, and since 2020 has served as artistic director of the Éole en Musiques festival in Loire-Atlantique.
He teaches at the CRR de Rueil-Malmaison and, from the 2025–2026 academic year, at the ESMD. He gives masterclasses regularly in France and abroad.
